I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised!
Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down.
We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good.
I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great.
I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location.

I come here all the time with my friends. One of my friends came up to me one day before lunch and said "Do you wanna go to Montreal Fries with me? I've never been, and I really wanna go." Great atmosphere. Nice little pub in downtown Oshawa. Just moving to Oshawa about a year ago never would have thought to even try this place (being downtown). The wings are great (best I have had in Oshawa so far, and "yes" I have been to the Bulldog and Jax's). The only bad thing that I could say about the wings, they are a little on the small side and the hot are not all that hot. The service is alright (good at times, but alright). Nice little patio, clean washrooms, decent bar, good mix of different age groups. Been there twice, was a jazz/blues band playing during our second visit. Great place!!!

If you are looking for a spot to hang with your friends and watch the game then you definitely need to hit up Whitby St.Louis. They pride themselves on their staff as well as ensuring that any major game that is playing is on every TV. This means hockey, baseball, football, UFC, golf- you name it they have it. Oh and the wings, fries and garlic dip is delicious. My personal favorite is the Hot n Honey wing sauce or the Suicide wing sauce. I would suggest going on Tuesday for wing night, or on Thurs or Fri which is their busiest nights. They have a huge regular following from 3pm to 5:30pm so if you are looking for some company at the bar, this is the time to go!

I have been visiting Sushi Mountain for just over 2 years now and I have never had fresher sushi anywhere in Toronto. My husband and I love going for their all you can eat option, which at other places usually isn't so great.
I find the white tuna at SM to be some of the best I've ever had (I was very disappointed with my experience in Yorkville after visitng SM). Their tempura has always been fresh and crisp, the handrolls are usually packed with fresh fish and their sushi and sashimi are always freshly made and really flavourful. I've never experienced some of the things that other reviewers have mentioned like bad mayo, etc...
The restaurant is usually very quiet even when it is packed with people. The service is fine and the restaurant is typically very clean. There is lots of parking as it is in a strip mall and usually no line up.
I would definitely recommend trying this place if you haven't yet.
